Each half term the parents of a class are invited to attend ‘Chef’s Cooking School’ where Chef demonstrates cooking a recipe. The children then join their parents for lunch.
Three parents volunteered to help Chef make a vegetable stir fry, Chef did the chopping while parents stirred. Flavour was added using soya and Worcestershire sauce, the dish was further enhanced by addition of coriander (other herbs are available) then tasted and enjoyed by all the parents before being joined for lunch by their children.
Parents were shown how to make vegetable samosas with a little help from kitchen staff, everyone agreed they were easy to make and delicious. Find the recipe here Their children then joined their parents to enjoy lunch together.

Chef’s first ‘Cooks School’ of this year was held for Year 1 parents today they were shown how to prepare Smoky sweet potato bean burgers with stuffed peppers, Reuben was so impressed he made them for his tea!

Year 5 and 6 parents were treated to Spicy Chicken Meatballs, (Recipe here) as usual Chef prepared the dish for parents to sample then their children joined for lunch.
